Justina is a 7th generation African American Gambian of the Mandinkan tribe of Kunta Kinteh, cousin of Alex Haley. Justina "Tina" was born 1963 in Washington, D.C. She served at Jordan Baptist Church as a missionary. A graduate of Duval in 1981 she went on to achieve a lucrative career in Cosmetology. Preserving and restoring the historical site of Kunta Kinteh will require endurance and commitment. It will take time because change is a process, but it is possible to bring about change for the people of Gambia.
